Our team at BMG LABTECH is dedicated to producing the highest quality microplate readers that consistently deliver superior results for any assay. Our goal is to empower scientists to unlock their full potential.
Our journey began in 1990 when physicist Dr. Bela Gurath founded BMG LABTECH in Offenburg, Germany, initially as a one-man engineering office. Over the years, the company evolved into a global leader in microplate reader instrumentation. Dr. Thomas Räbiger, who currently leads the company, joined as a shareholder in the early stages, contributing to the strategic direction of the company.
In 1993, BMG LABTECH received a grant to develop a fluorescence measurement device, marking a significant milestone in our journey. The launch of the FLUOstar that same year solidified our position as a pioneer in fluorescence polarisation detection.
While we take pride in our past achievements, our focus remains on the future. For over 30 years, we have continued to innovate and develop cutting-edge technologies, maintaining our status as a leader in the industry. Our mission is fueled by the commitment to provide researchers worldwide with the best-in-class instruments for their research needs.
Today, BMG LABTECH offers a comprehensive range of dedicated and multi-mode microplate readers for life sciences applications and high-throughput screening. With over three decades of experience and close collaboration with our customers, we are confident in our ability to stay at the forefront of the industry for years to come.
