In 1949, three engineers—Gabriel Corlet, André Colomb and René Sillon—went camping with their families. Noticing the lack of cooking solutions suitable for campers, they designed the first portable and refillable gas cylinder, the "blue canister", marking the birth of CAMPINGAZ®.

By 1952, the brand had expanded its range to include stoves and other equipment to make camping easier. Its success spread beyond borders, and in 1994, CAMPINGAZ® launched one of the first gas barbecues, revolutionising outdoor cooking. Today, the brand remains a trusted companion, offering safety, simplicity and enjoyment in the great outdoors.
