RBM elektronik-automation GmbH is a German company specialising in the design and manufacture of high-performance ergometers for performance analysis, ergometer training and rehabilitation. Founded in 1990 by Jens Richter, the company has built on a long tradition of developing robust devices, which began in the 1970s with the "Rekordtrainer . Since then, it has continuously expanded its Cyclus2 range with innovations such as elastic suspensions for integrating the user's own bike, USB/LAN/WLAN interfaces, and lactate analysis and route simulation software. In 2014, RBM introduced the Cyclus2 Eccentric Trainer, a version designed for research, eccentric training and rehabilitation. These ergometers are now widely used in high-performance sports, scientific performance centres, and by professional coaches and cyclists around the world.
