Stryker SM104 (1007) stretcher: performance, safety and versatility for patient transport
The SM104 (model 1007) stretcher from Stryker's M series has been designed to ensure safe, comfortable and ergonomic patient transport in critical care environments. The hydraulic lift system allows the height of the stretcher to be easily adjusted using pedals located on the sides or ends of the stretcher. Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positions are also available, with an inclination of up to ±16°, to meet specific clinical needs such as the treatment of hypotension or optimised vascular access. The robust frame design ensures optimum stability, even in dynamic conditions.
Patient comfort is enhanced by the pneumatic backrest, which can be adjusted from 0 to 90° effortlessly, and by the optional leg support (Knee Gatch), which is adjustable from 0 to 40°. The GLIDEAWAY™ side rails, which are easy to operate with two hands, offer secure protection while facilitating patient access.
The SM104 stretcher can also be customised with options such as an integrated weighing system, a foot extension that doubles as a defibrillation tray, permanently fixed two- or three-level infusion holders, or a service tray. These accessories greatly extend the stretcher's usefulness, making it equally suitable for emergency care, examinations or minor surgery.
The brakes can be applied from the ends or sides of the frame, ensuring immediate and reliable locking. A fifth central steering wheel facilitates manoeuvring over long distances or in confined spaces, optimising movement in hospital corridors and lifts.
Compliant with electromagnetic safety standards (IEC 60601-1-2), the SM104 model is suitable for demanding hospital environments. Its ease of cleaning, including compatibility with hospital trolley washers, and its surfaces resistant to common disinfectants ensure impeccable hygiene.
