Sigma 11133 Rotor: Performance and Compatibility at the Heart of your Laboratory Applications
The Sigma 11133 swing-out rotor is a key component for users of Sigma 3-16L and 3-16KL benchtop centrifuges, particularly in the medical, pharmaceutical, environmental and academic research fields. Designed to meet the requirements of routine tasks as well as more specific applications, this rotor combines safety, efficiency and flexibility of use. It can hold up to four 200 ml tubes, with the total capacity evenly distributed to maintain stability during centrifugation. The 90°oscillation angle optimises sample layout, ensuring clear phase separation.
This model is compatible with a wide range of tubes, from 0.2 ml to 200 ml, and offers a wide range of adapters, allowing PP, PE, glass or PC tubes of different diameters and lengths to be easily inserted. It can be integrated with a specific round cup (13104) with a hermetic closure system with an aluminium cap (17109) or polysulphone cap (17111), guaranteeing a temperature below 4°C at maximum speed. This extensive compatibility offers laboratories valuable adaptability without having to change the rotor for each type of tube.
In terms of performance, the rotor reaches 5,000 rpm with the Sigma 3-16L and up to 5,500 rpm with the refrigerated Sigma 3-16KL version. This corresponds to a relative centrifugal force factor (RCF) of up to 5,242 x g, sufficient power for a wide range of applications. It is also designed to maintain this performance while limiting vibrations and noise, contributing to user comfort and stable results.
Safety is not overlooked. The 11133 rotor is designed to work with biological safety accessories, which is crucial in sensitive diagnostic and analytical environments. Cleaning is made easy by the simplicity of its surfaces, and maintenance is reduced thanks to the robustness of the materials used.
