The Foss Digestor 2520, part of the Tecator™ range, is a state-of-the-art solution for acid digestion, particularly for Kjeldahl analysis. This model has been specially designed to meet the demands of modern laboratories in terms of productivity, safety, traceability and analytical flexibility. It can process up to 20 samples simultaneously in  250 ml tubes, making it the preferred choice for quality control laboratories operating in the food, environmental, agricultural and industrial sectors.

One of the main advantages of the Digestor 2520 is its ability to offer fully automated digestion. Its motorised lifting system reduces manual handling while ensuring operator safety when working with hot and corrosive chemicals. The technological heart of the system is based on robust embedded software, coupled with an intuitive PC application supplied on a USB stick. This combination allows up to 254 digestion methods to be controlled, 127 of which can be customised by the user. Each method can include up to 23 distinct steps, covering temperature ramp-up, thermal maintenance, scrubber activation and lifting system management. All of these features are protected by authorisation levels to ensure data integrity and compliance with GLP standards.

The flexibility of the Digestor 2520 is also demonstrated by its compatibility with a wide range of samples. Whether for raw materials or finished products in the food industry, animal feed, wastewater or industrial compounds, the system meets a wide range of needs. In particular, it can be used for Kjeldahl digestion, COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) analysis and other reflux chemistries suitable for AAS or ICP analysis.
