5E-CHN2200: a reliable and customisable system for complex sample analysis
The CKIC 5E-CHN2200 is an elemental analyser designed to meet the requirements of laboratories wishing to accurately measure the carbon (C), hydrogen (H) and nitrogen (N) content in a wide range of samples, whether solid, liquid or of heterogeneous composition. It stands out for its ability to handle large sample masses, making it particularly suitable for analysing biomass, waste, plastics, fertilisers and foodstuffs.
Its design is based on a dual-furnace catalytic combustion system, ensuring complete and rapid combustion. Once the process has started, the gases produced are purified by dust and ash filters and then directed to a gas ballast. A controlled dose of this mixture is then analysed by infrared detectors for carbon and hydrogen, while nitrogen is detected by a thermal conductivity detector (TCD) after passing through a reduction catalyst and CO₂ and H₂O trapping. This process guarantees accurate results while minimising the consumption of carrier gases, particularly helium.
Thanks to its modular architecture, the user can configure the device to analyse only one or more of the CHN elements, with the possibility of future extensions. This modularity makes it a scalable solution, suitable for a variety of analytical needs.
The system is controlled via easy-to-use Windows software, allowing complete management of analyses, data recalculation, calibration and export of results. The device also features a stackable automatic loader that can hold up to 140 samples, optimising productivity in high-throughput laboratories.
Compliant with CE safety standards, the 5E-CHN2200 is a compact and reliable device designed for easy integration into any demanding analytical environment. It is intended for those looking for robust, accurate elemental analysis capable of adapting to the challenges of unconventional samples.
