Thermo Fisher Scientific Accu20 UV – High-quality ultrapure water production
The Thermo Fisher Scientific Accu20 UV is an ultrapure water and reverse osmosis water production system specially designed to quickly deliver water quality that meets the most stringent standards on demand. With a daily capacity of up to 20 litres, it is ideal for laboratories that require impurity-free water for critical applications. Its compact design allows for easy integration on a bench top without the need for an external tank, reducing the risk of contamination associated with storage. This UV model features a dual wavelength lamp (185/254 nm) that lowers the total organic carbon (TOC) level to less than 5 ppb, ensuring optimal purity for the most sensitive analyses.
High-performance, sustainable purification technology
The heart of the system is a combination of specific cartridges and automated processes. The ACCUDuo 'P' cartridge provides effective pre-filtration, while the dual ACCUDuo 'U' cartridge performs ultrapurification, removing ions, particles and organic contaminants. The system includes an automatic cleaning and maintenance cycle for the reverse osmosis membrane, extending its service life and maintaining optimal performance. Hourly recirculation prevents bacterial growth and keeps water quality constant, even during periods of inactivity. The tankless design minimises water stagnation and preserves purity right up to the point of dispensing.
A versatile solution for demanding laboratory applications
The Accu20 UV is suitable for a wide variety of applications requiring high-purity water. It is commonly used for the preparation of mobile phases in HPLC, the formulation of white reagent solutions, the dilution of samples for GC, HPLC, AA or ICP-MS, as well as for the preparation of buffers and cell culture media. It is also suitable for the production of reagents for molecular biology, where minimal contamination is essential.
Thanks to its clear and comprehensive LCD display, the user can monitor water quality parameters and system status in real time. Compliant with or exceeding ASTM, CLSI, CAP and ISO Type I standards, it ensures consistent and reliable quality for reproducible results.
