Advantage 3000: A complete platform for arthroscopic surgery
The Advantage D3000 system is one of the most advanced solutions developed by ConMed Linvatec for arthroscopic surgery. Designed for use in conjunction with the Advantage Turbo handpiece and the 10k pump, it is a comprehensive and consistent platform dedicated to complex procedures requiring power, precision and flexibility. Thanks to its optimised motor, the Advantage Turbo system delivers a 39% increase in torque, ensuring better resection performance, even on hard tissue such as bone.
At the heart of the system is the Advantage D3000 console, available in multiple voltage configurations (115 V, 230 V, 100 V) for international adaptability. This console has been designed to facilitate the surgical workflow thanks to its ergonomic design, intuitive interface and versatile mounting options. It can be easily attached to a standard IV pole or integrated into an existing video cart, optimising the operating space.
Quick installation is one of the system's strengths: the cassette can be loaded in a single step, greatly simplifying pre-operative preparation. The system also allows bidirectional blade insertion, offering greater surgical flexibility and adapting to various types of procedures. The chuck can be operated with one hand, which also facilitates blade insertion, reducing handling time and interruptions.
When the Thorne 5/32" chuck is used, the Turbo handpiece can be converted into a drilling instrument for pilot holes for shoulder anchors, greatly expanding the system's application beyond simple resection. In addition, the 10k pump offers efficient fluid management in inflow-only or inflow/outflow versions, ensuring optimal visibility of the joint space throughout the procedure.
