Functioning as a dual power base, the Agilia Duo allows two pumps to be connected simultaneously to a single power source. This system significantly reduces the number of power cables to be managed around the patient's bed, minimising the risk of tripping, accidental disconnections or human error due to tangled wires. The device simply plugs between the pumps and a standard wall socket, ensuring a stable and secure power supply to each connected device.
The Agilia Duo is not just a passive accessory: it actively contributes to treatment safety by enforcing certain operating rules. In particular, it must only be used with two pumps at the same time, and only with certified compatible devices from the Agilia range. This restriction ensures mechanical balance and an appropriate power supply, preventing overloads and optimising equipment durability .
Installation is intuitive: the two pumps are connected via a secure locking system and then attached to a vertical bar using their mounting nuts. Once this step is complete, the Agilia Duo connectors are plugged into the back of the pumps and the main power cable is connected to a wall socket. The resulting unit is compact, robust and perfectly suited for use in intensive care, operating theatres, emergency departments and resuscitation units.
In terms of hygiene, the Agilia Duo is designed to meet hospital requirements. It can be cleaned and disinfected between patients or during routine maintenance using specific agents such as didecyldimethylammonium chloride. It must never be sterilised or immersed in water, and all cleaning operations must be carried out by qualified personnel.
