Alfa Plus by Boule – High-performance, easy-to-use haematology analyser
The Alfa Plus from Boule is based on technology proven since 1956, combined with the latest innovations in haematology analysis. Its central component, the shear valve, allows a volume of blood to be collected with exceptional precision, guaranteeing consistent and reproducible results. This key component is completely maintenance-free. The device measures a complete blood count (CBC) from a minimal sample of 20 μL, making it ideal for paediatrics and blood donations where vein preservation is essential. Its speed, with an analysis time of less than 50 seconds, streamlines laboratory workflows while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
A modern interface and extensive connectivity
Already recognised for its ease of use, the Alfa Plus now features a 7-inch WVGA colour touchscreen in landscape mode, providing clear and intuitive reading of results. Its graphical interface has been designed to facilitate navigation and data interpretation, with different display modes to suit user needs, including a classic graphical view or a presentation with reference bars for quick reading of out-of-range values. The embedded software allows extensive patient data management with a memory of 50,000 records and identification fields that can contain up to 50 characters. Connectivity has been enhanced with front USB ports, an Ethernet port, and compatibility with HL7 and XML protocols, ensuring easy integration with laboratory information systems and fast, secure data exchange.
Versatility and configurations tailored to every need
The Alfa Plus is available in several models to suit different working environments. The Basic version already offers the precision of the shear valve and reliable operation. The Cap model incorporates a closed tube piercing device to minimise the risk of contamination. The Standard version has a mixer for five samples, ideal for small laboratories and medical practices. The Sampler model, with its automatic loader that can hold up to 2 x 20 samples, allows for autonomous and continuous analysis, making it ideal for small and medium-sized hospitals. Models equipped with the micro-pipette adapter (MPA) allow sampling by simple finger prick, eliminating the need for vacuum tubes or prior dilution and greatly simplifying collection.
By integrating the Alfa Plus into their routine, laboratories benefit from a fast, accurate and ergonomic tool that contributes to greater efficiency and increased comfort for both the user and the patient.
