Fabius GS premium Anesthesia Unit: Performance and Flexibility for Operating Rooms
The Dräger Fabius GS premium is an anesthesia workstation designed to meet the challenges of healthcare facilities, combining reliability, precision, and modularity. Designed to provide efficient and adaptable ventilation, it ensures optimized patient care based on their clinical status and current protocols.
At the heart of the Fabius GS premium is an electronically controlled E-vent piston ventilator that operates without a driving gas. This system guarantees stable and precise ventilation, suitable for a wide range of patients, from adults to newborns. It supports major ventilation modes, including volume control, pressure control, synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation with pressure support (SIMV/PS), and pressure support (PS). Dynamic compliance compensation and fresh gas separation ensure secure and efficient ventilation, even at low consumption.
Designed for easy integration into an operating room, the Fabius GS premium is mounted on a maneuverable cart equipped with a central brake, facilitating its positioning. Its design includes three spacious drawers and a retractable writing shelf, providing ample storage space for consumables and medical documentation. It features integrated LED lighting, ensuring better visibility of the workspace.
The compact breathing system of the Fabius GS premium is equipped with a heater to minimize condensation and improve the efficiency of gas exchange. The unit can be configured with interchangeable CLIC absorbers, reducing direct contact with soda lime.
The device is equipped with a high-resolution color display that shows real-time ventilation parameters and associated curves. The Dräger interface, with its select-adjust-validate logic, simplifies interaction with the device, allowing healthcare professionals to quickly become proficient.
The Fabius GS premium can be integrated with hospital information systems, facilitating the export of ventilation data and oxygen measurements. It supports Vitalink and Medibus protocols, ensuring interoperability with existing monitoring solutions.
The Fabius GS premium ensures continuous ventilation even in the event of a gas supply failure, providing a backup solution for patient care. In case of a power outage, the integrated battery guarantees up to 120 minutes of autonomy.
The system also includes safety features, such as a sensitive oxygen ratio controller (S-ORC) that maintains a minimum oxygen concentration of 23% in the O₂/N₂O mixture, as well as automatic shut-off of nitrous oxide in case of oxygen valve closure. Visual and audible alarms signal any critical pressure drop.
The Fabius GS premium adapts to the needs of hospital services with its standardized mounting rails, allowing the addition of various monitors and accessories. It can be equipped with Dräger Vamos or SCIO monitoring for anesthetic gas tracking. Its modular architecture allows for the integration of future enhancements, optimizing long-term hospital investment.
