Description

Zeus® Infinity® Empowered: Advanced Anesthesia Station for Optimal Clinical Care

Zeus® Infinity® Empowered is an advanced anesthesia station integrating lung-protective ventilation features, cost-effective gas delivery technology, decision support tools, and comprehensive monitoring. This innovative equipment is designed to enhance clinical outcomes, optimize workflows, and control anesthesia costs.

The Zeus IE station offers two anesthesia modes: conventional mode (manual gas flow) and servo mode (targeted anesthesia). In servo mode, the clinician only sets targets for FiO2 and expiratory anesthetic agent, reducing necessary interactions. Oxygen and anesthetic agent quantities are automatically delivered based on set targets, with a second gas analyzer controlling gas administration to prevent overdoses and insufficient dosages.

In quantitative anesthesia mode (closed circuit), the closed circuit minimizes gas losses, reducing the consumption of anesthetic agent and oxygen and contributing to lower unit costs. Additionally, complete re-inhalation of gases administered to the patient promotes better respiratory gas conditioning, reducing postoperative pulmonary complications and greenhouse gas emissions.

The integrated turbine ventilator technology in Zeus IE is a pressure source that does not require a motor gas. This actively reduces inspiratory resistance, facilitating patient spontaneous breathing, even in Man/Spon mode. The nearly unlimited flow ensures rapid response times, even with minimal respiratory efforts.

Lung-protective ventilation features include Smart Ventilation Control (SVC), allowing clinicians to set a ventilation goal, facilitating automatic transition from controlled ventilation to spontaneous breathing. Zeus IE also features an automated lung recruitment tool, offering two methods to improve oxygenation and prevent atelectasis.

Optimized drug administration management is ensured by SmartPilot® View, an integrated software that simulates and visualizes the combined effects of analgesics and hypnotics. This enables clinicians to adjust drug administration in real-time, avoiding overdoses and challenging awakenings.

The efficient design of the care facility aims to improve workflow and ease of use. The 20'' user interface allows for setting and monitoring ventilation parameters, fresh gas supply, and anesthetic dosage. Automatic test programming, leak detection, and easy access to the user manual contribute to intuitive use.

Zeus® Infinity® Empowered also offers various system components, such as the DIVA module, Infinity® Acute Care System, IV syringe drivers, and accessories like WaterLock 2, Drägersorb® 800+ soda lime, Dräger VentStar® Anesthesia patient circuits, and the Tcore™ temperature monitoring device.

Zeus® Infinity® Empowered represents a significant advancement in anesthesia technology, providing advanced features for optimal clinical care, resource-efficient use, and enhanced efficiency in the operating room.
