Dräger Julian Anesthesia Workstation: Performance and Precision in the Operating Room
The Dräger Julian is a comprehensive anesthesia workstation designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals in the operating room. Engineered for precise administration of anesthetic gases, it accommodates various patient types weighing over 5 kg, thanks to its multiple ventilation modes: IPPV (Intermittent Positive Pressure Ventilation), PCV (Pressure Controlled Ventilation), SPONT (Spontaneous Ventilation), and MAN (Manual Ventilation). Its system incorporates sensors to measure inspired and expired oxygen, CO2, N2O, and anesthetic agents, providing precise monitoring of patient parameters.
Equipped with a 10.4-inch electroluminescent screen, the Julian displays real-time curves of airway pressure, expiratory flow, and gas concentration. It allows for intuitive configuration of alarms and critical thresholds, facilitating rapid management of the patient's physiological variations. The optional C-Lock-ECG synchronization system enhances SpO2 measurement accuracy by synchronizing the patient's optical and electrical signals.
The Julian is powered by an electrical source with a backup supply ensuring 30 minutes of autonomous operation in case of power failure. It supports standard medical gases (O2, N2O, AIR) with a pressure range of 2.7 to 5.5 bars. Its automatic test system checks for leaks and circuit compliance before each use, ensuring optimal reliability.
Designed for ease of use, the Julian features a control panel with direct-access buttons and rotary knobs for essential parameters. The interface includes three serial ports (COM1, COM2, COM3), compatible with the MEDIBUS protocol, facilitating integration with other medical devices.
Regarding maintenance, the Julian requires regular servicing by qualified personnel every six months. Only original Dräger components should be used to ensure proper functioning. Microbial filters, the flow sensor, and the anesthetic gas scavenging system must be checked and replaced according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
