Anesthetic Gas Monitor Vamos - Fair Condition

Brand: Dräger

The Dräger Vamos® monitor enables effective tracking of anesthetic gases by measuring and displaying concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO₂), nitrous oxide (N₂O), and volatile anesthetic agents. Suitable for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, it provides precise monitoring for controlled anesthesia. Its clear screen displays the real-time CO₂ waveform and allows for quick analysis of inspired and expired concentrations. Lightweight and ergonomic, it easily integrates into medical workstations and offers an intuitive interface for simplified use.

Description

Anesthetic Gas Monitoring with Dräger's Vamos®

The Dräger Vamos® is an anesthetic gas monitor designed to ensure precise and reliable tracking of CO₂, N₂O, and volatile anesthetic agent concentrations in adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. With its clear display and ease of use, it enables anesthesiologists to monitor ventilation and essential anesthesia parameters in real-time.

The Vamos® displays the real-time CO₂ waveform, along with the inspired and expired concentrations of the measured gases. This precision facilitates the assessment of the patient's respiratory status and allows for optimal adjustment of anesthesia parameters. The respiratory rate is also calculated and displayed on the screen for more comprehensive monitoring.

This monitor is designed for use on both flat surfaces and mounted on an anesthesia workstation using Dräger's mounting solutions. Its weight of 2.1 kg (including battery) makes it easily portable and adaptable to various medical environments.

One of the major advantages of the Vamos® is its Waterlock 2 water trap, which effectively protects the sensors from condensation, pathogens, and other contaminants. This system extends the monitor's lifespan and ensures reliable and stable measurement of anesthetic gases. When the anesthesia machine has the appropriate functionality, the gas sample can be recycled into the patient's breathing circuit. This feature enables low-flow anesthesia, reducing gas consumption and contributing to better management of anesthetic agents.

Its intuitive interface simplifies usage, with a navigation button providing quick access to menus and alarm threshold settings. Depending on their priority, alarms are displayed as visual or audible messages, ensuring a rapid response from healthcare professionals in case of anomalies.

Optionally, the Vamos® can be equipped with a lithium-ion battery, providing at least 60 minutes of autonomy in case of power failure. With the Dräger MEDIBUS protocol, recorded parameters and curves can be integrated into an electronic documentation system for optimized patient data tracking.

Designed for maximum durability, the Vamos® does not require complex maintenance. Its infrared sensor is wear-free, ensuring stable measurements over time. The Waterlock 2 water trap is easy to empty and can be used for up to four weeks before replacement.

By combining precision, ease of use, and seamless integration into medical workstations, the Dräger Vamos® provides an effective solution for anesthetic gas monitoring in operating rooms and intensive care units.
