Argo Plasma: a new benchmark in argon plasma treatment for plastic surgery
Argon plasma technology has been proven effective in the medical field for several years. EMED's Argo Plasma system continues this tradition, with a design tailored for post-liposuction, post-bariatric, post-pregnancy and breast surgery. Thanks to the use of a biologically inert noble gas, argon, this device ensures gentle and controlled tissue coagulation without excessive carbonisation or smoke production, while preserving adjacent structures.
The Argo Plasma is unique in its ability to target the least resistant tissue while respecting the integrity of the surrounding areas. This thermal selectivity provides a long-lasting effect, with accelerated tissue regeneration and a shorter post-operative recovery time. The consistent thermal depth ensures the safety of procedures, even with prolonged or repeated activation.
The device features a Smart Device System (SDS) that automatically recognises connected instruments to adjust operating modes and output parameters. It offers a multilingual menu, a 10-inch touchscreen and storage for 105 customisable programmes divided into 10 categories of procedures. Control can be via an ergonomic handle or a wireless multifunction foot pedal.
The Argo Plasma is compatible with the classic functions of an electrosurgical generator, such as cutting, monopolar or bipolar coagulation, while offering significantly lower operating costs than devices using helium. The components are designed for prolonged use and are reusable, such as the handles with integrated switches and the ceramic-tipped cannulas, which reduce instrument heating.
Designed with practitioners in mind, this device is a strategic investment with a quick return and adaptability for other surgical procedures. It is a complete and stable solution that meets the growing demands of contemporary plastic surgery.
