The Argus model is a fully waterproof (IP65) instrument that is shock-resistant, splash-proof and resistant to extreme conditions. Its more advanced counterpart, the ARGUS x, features contactless induction charging via a dedicated docking station, ensuring perfect waterproofing (IP67) without any external connectors. This feature guarantees increased durability while simplifying use in the field.

The multifunction LCD graphic display simultaneously shows pH measurements, temperature, probe status, remaining battery life and customisable calibration reminders. On the Argus x model, a backlight ensures optimal readability, even in low-light environments. In addition, a built-in clock allows each measurement to be time-stamped and maintenance reminders to be programmed, ensuring full compliance with good laboratory practice (GLP).

The user experience is particularly smooth thanks to an intuitive five-key keyboard and a menu-driven interface. The automatic calibration system is compatible with DIN, NIST and JIS buffer tables and also allows the addition of custom buffers. The user is assisted at every step by a built-in help function, making it quick to learn and easy to use even in complex situations.

The Argus x model is also equipped with internal memory that can store up to 300 measurement points, including pH, temperature, date and time. This data can then be transferred to a computer or printer via a secure RS232 infrared link via the docking station. This connectivity makes the Argus x a tool that is perfectly suited to quality control and long-term monitoring processes.

Compatibility with Sentron's wide range of ISFET probes (LanceFET, CupFET, ConeFET, SurFET, etc.) ensures great flexibility of use according to the specificities of each application: moving samples, high temperatures, viscous products, complex environments, etc.

Finally, the safety of the device is enhanced by a password lock function on the Argus x, preventing unauthorised use. With a battery life of 40 hours and a programmable automatic shut-off function, the pH meter guarantees consistent performance with optimised energy management.
