The KR-8800 - The Rotating Prism Technology

This instrument represents a cutting-edge solution for eye care professionals. Equipped with Topcon's exclusive Rotating Prism technology, it provides objective refraction data with unparalleled precision.

Unlike other auto-kerato-refractometers that measure points individually, the Rotating Prism covers a wider area, ensuring reliable refraction data. It also reduces measurement time, which is essential in fast-paced medical practice. With a minimal pupil requirement of only 2mm, the KR-8800 is suitable for a wide range of patients.

It also offers measurements of pupil/corneal diameter, pupil distance (PD), an infrared reflex function to monitor opacity development, and USB and RS-232 connections for faster and improved data transfer.

The KR-8800 is designed for automatic acquisition of refraction and keratometry data after alignment, making it the perfect choice for modern and dynamic medical practices. It performs three readings for each eye, provided the alignment remains adequate. Additionally, it allows corneal diameter measurement, either during patient testing or later by recalling the corneal image on the screen.

This device offers quick, easy, and accurate measurements, with an extended measurement range of 20%. It enables fast and accurate readings of refraction and keratometry. The Rotating Prism enhances accuracy, while the color LCD screen facilitates result visualization. Binocular measurements are displayed simultaneously, and a scenic fixation chart facilitates the process for patients.
