BF-1TH190: a Bronchoscope Designed for Precision and Clinical Performance
The BF-1TH190 model from the Olympus EVIS EXERA III range is a therapeutic bronchoscope that combines HDTV image quality and ergonomic design to meet the demanding requirements of interventional bronchoscopy. Its 6.2 mm distal head and 6.0 mm insertion tube allow smooth navigation within the bronchial tree, even in the deepest segments. Thanks to its rotary function, the insertion tube can be rotated up to 120° to the left or right, reducing operator fatigue and facilitating precise positioning of endoscopic devices.
This model features a 2.8 mm operator channel, compatible with a wide range of therapeutic instruments, including electrosurgical devices and Nd:YAG or 810 nm diode lasers. The optimised orientation of the channel outlet in the field of view facilitates intuitive and direct handling of instruments during procedures. Compatibility with Olympus CV-190 and CLV-190 imaging systems ensures seamless integration into the technical environment of the operating theatre.
The high-definition imaging of the BF-1TH190 is enhanced by NBI technology, which has improved light intensity to offer twice the viewing distance of previous generations. This technology allows for better differentiation of vascular structures and mucosal contours, facilitating diagnosis and identification of suspicious lesions. The integrated electronic zoom (1.2x and 1.5x) completes this visual arsenal by allowing close-up observation without loss of sharpness.
The quick-release waterproof connector simplifies device setup and eliminates the need for a water-resistant cap. This not only facilitates preparation before the procedure, but also cleaning protocols after use.
The BF-1TH190 stands out for its ease of use, image clarity and compatibility with a wide range of accessories, while helping to reduce maintenance costs through effective standardisation of hospital equipment.
