The Biometra TOne is equipped with a 96-well block, also available with a gradient function, allowing easy optimisation of primer hybridisation temperatures. Thanks to sophisticated electronics, this thermal cycler achieves fast heating and cooling rates of up to 4°C per second. This performance ensures fast and accurate results, which are essential for demanding PCR protocols.

The Biometra TOne's temperature control technology guarantees exceptional accuracy. The sample block temperature control system prevents the programmed target temperature from being exceeded or undershot, ensuring maximum experimental reproducibility. This feature is crucial for obtaining reliable and consistent results.

The Biometra TOne is designed to be both robust and easy to use. Its heated lid, equipped with High-Performance Smart Lid (HPSL) technology, maintains constant pressure on plastic vessels, regardless of their shape or height. This optimises contact between the sample block and the vessel walls, ensuring reproducible experimental conditions.

An automatic lid opening mechanism makes the cycler easy to use. Simply press the locking mechanism to open the lid, which remains in the open position thanks to a spring mechanism, preventing it from falling. The lock re-engages automatically when the user closes the lid.

The Biometra TOne is designed to operate extremely quietly, with a maximum noise level of only 45 decibels. This feature, combined with an optimised airflow system, allows the cycler to take up very little space in the laboratory. Measuring 26 x 43 centimetres, the Biometra TOne requires only ten centimetres of additional space for adequate ventilation, much less than most other thermal cyclers.

The Biometra TOne is equipped with a 7-inch colour touchscreen and intuitive software that makes it easy to program and manage PCR protocols. The software includes pre-installed programme templates for various applications, which can be easily adapted to specific user requirements. The multi-step programming function allows all parameters for each programme step to be entered on a single screen, simplifying the creation and modification of protocols.

The Biometra TOne's linear gradient tool (LGT) allows temperature gradients to be programmed with defined intervals between the different rows of the sample block. This facilitates the optimisation of primer hybridisation temperatures, a crucial aspect for the development of new PCR protocols.
