Description

Biovac 106 – High-precision suction system for sensitive applications

The Biovac 106 from WELCH is a compact and powerful suction system specifically designed for the safe and controlled suction of non-flammable liquids in demanding laboratory environments. Thanks to its integrated, chemical-resistant diaphragm pump system, this device is ideal for chemical, biological and medical laboratories, where fluid handling requires a high level of precision, reliability and safety.

At the heart of the Biovac 106 is a durable diaphragm pump designed to withstand aggressive substances while ensuring quiet suction without excessive vibration. This mechanism, combined with a 2-litre collection container (glass), ensures efficient management of excess fluids from experiments, cell cultures or various handling operations. Suction is fine and precise thanks to the manual pipette (handvac), allowing users to target exactly the area to be drained, such as Petri dishes, slides or culture containers.

The Biovac 106 incorporates a hydrophobic PTFE filter with a filtration threshold of up to 0.22 µm, ensuring enhanced protection against aerosols, bacteria and contaminants. This filter acts as a safety barrier, protecting the pump against the ingress of harmful particles or liquids. In addition, a float valve located in the lid of the suction container automatically stops suction when the maximum level is reached, thus preventing overflow.

This device operates in continuous mode (S1) with low energy consumption of 0.45 W and a particularly low noise level (45 dB), allowing for prolonged use without discomfort for the operator. It is equipped with a mode selector for manual or foot activation via a pedal (optional), offering optimal flexibility according to user preferences.

Designed to withstand intensive working environments, the Biovac 106 features components made of highly resistant materials such as carbon fibre-reinforced PTFE, PEEK andEPDM, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of aggressive fluids. Maintenance is made easy by easy access to essential components (filter, pipes, tank), and a maintenance kit is available for the diaphragm pump.

Thanks to its compact design, robust materials and integrated safety features, the Biovac 106 is a reliable solution for all applications requiring clean, fast and safe evacuation of biological or chemical liquids. Compliant with CE directives (RoHS II, WEEE, EMC), it meets the most stringent safety standards, such as DIN EN ISO 12100 and DIN EN 61010-1.

The Biovac 106 combines performance, safety and ease of use in a practical format, making it an essential device for laboratory professionals who want to ensure rigorous fluid management.
