JP Selecta's MACRO/BLOCK BLOCK: Controlled thermal performance for your acid digestions
The BLOC MACRO/BLOCK system from JP Selecta is an essential reference for analytical chemistry, quality control and environmental analysis laboratories. This series of metal heating blocks is designed to precisely meet the requirements of mineral digestion, particularly in the Kjeldahl method (nitrogen determination) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD).
Its main advantage lies in the combination of even heat distribution and intelligent electronic control via the RAT-2 unit (programmable temperature up to 500°C, 20 customisable programmes with 4 heating stages). The MACRO/BLOCK units enable gradual and safe heating, reducing the risk of splashing or sample loss due to sudden boiling.
Each block can accommodate digestion tubes with a diameter of 42 mm (capacity 250 ml), ensuring optimal compatibility with standard procedures. Thanks to its modular design, the system is fully customisable: special dural alloy racks, cooling tube holders, fume collectors and borosilicate glass accessories ensure safe and efficient assembly.
Safety is also at the heart of the equipment. Each model incorporates two type K probes (regulation and safety), as well as a safety thermostat limiting the temperature to 550°C. In the event of prolonged overheating, a visual and audible alarm is triggered to warn the user.
Designed for durability, each metal block is treated to resist corrosion from concentrated acids. The device is also easy to dismantle for quick cleaning, with replaceable components available as official spare parts.
The 6, 12 and 20 tube models are suitable for a variety of working volumes and can be integrated into both small laboratories and industrial installations. They comply with ISO 9001, ensuring strict traceability and compliance with the requirements of certified laboratories.
The BLOC MACRO/BLOCK series from JP Selecta stands out for its ease of use, flexibility and thermal precision, offering a complete solution for demanding mineralisation or environmental analysis applications.
