The BP2 from Lepu Medical is an innovative medical device that combines two essential functions: blood pressure measurement and electrocardiogram (ECG) recording. Intended for use at home or in healthcare facilities, it allows adult users to accurately monitor their cardiovascular health. Using an oscillometric method, the BP2 measures systolic and diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate, while its built-in electrodes record ECG tracings over 30 seconds. This data is useful for the early detection of heart problems, although it is not a substitute for a medical diagnosis.

The BP2 is designed for simple and intuitive use. It has two buttons: a Start/Stop button for measuring blood pressure, and a Function button for ECG and access to historical data. The clear display shows the results immediately after measurement. The adult cuff, adjustable between 22 and 42 cm, ensures good accuracy. The device is lightweight (240 g), compact (135 × 45 × 20 mm) and runs on a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery via USB Type-C. A full charge takes approximately two hours and allows for up to 500 measurements.
Connectivity and compatibility for smart monitoring
The BP2 features Bluetooth 4.0 BLE, allowing synchronisation with the ViHealth app available on iOS and Android. This feature facilitates the transfer of data to a smartphone or tablet for later consultation or sharing with a healthcare professional. The device stores up to 50 blood pressure measurements and 10 ECG recordings. It offers several methods of taking ECGs without cables: right hand to left leg, hand to hand, right hand to abdomen, and right hand to chest. These options offer flexibility according to the user's needs.
