BSM-2303K Multi-Parameter Patient Monitor – Excellence in vital monitoring in a compact format
Designed to meet the complex needs of modern medical monitoring, Nihon Kohden's BSM-2303K multi-parameter patient monitor combines power, compactness and cutting-edge technology. This device is specially designed to provide continuous and accurate monitoring in critical settings, from intensive care to operating theatres, neonatal units and intra-hospital transport.
Its 8.4-inch TFT LCD colour screen offers a clear resolution of 800 × 600 pixels, allowing six physiological curves to be displayed simultaneously on an intuitive touchscreen interface. Thanks to this user-friendly interface, healthcare professionals can quickly access essential data, customise displays and even write the patient's name directly on the screen with their finger or a stylus. The user also has direct access to the main menu via a "Home" button, making it smooth and responsive in all clinical situations.
The BSM-2303K integrates 7 monitoring parameters, including ECG, impedance respiration, SpO₂, temperature, NIBP, IBP and a MULTI connector capable of automatically detecting connected sensors (CO₂, IBP or respiration thermistor). Patented PWTT (Pulse Wave Transit Time) technology enables proactive detection of blood pressure changes by correlating ECG and SpO₂ signals, and can automatically trigger a NIBP measurement in the event of a significant change.
With a storage capacity of 24 hours of trends for all parameters and up to 120 vital sign recordings and NIBP measurements, the BSM-2303K offers optimal traceability. It can also store up to 200 alarms in its history and features a remote-viewable three-colour alarm indicator for increased responsiveness by medical staff.
Its compact, stand-alone design, with up to 3 hours of battery life, makes it the ideal tool for monitoring during patient transfers. It can also be integrated into a hospital network via Ethernet (LS-NET) and connected to a hospital information system (HIS) via an HL7 gateway. The interbed function also allows data from other monitors in the Life Scope range to be viewed on a single screen.
This monitor is suitable for adults , children and newborns. It can be supplemented with anaesthetic gas and CO₂ measurement modules, as well as a multi-template arrhythmia analyser. Thanks to its scalability, the BSM-2303K provides long-term support to healthcare facilities in improving the quality of care and patient safety.
