BT-200 from Bistos: accessible and reliable foetal heart monitoring
The BT-200 model from Bistos, marketed under the name " HI-bebe ", is a foetal Doppler designed for simple, mobile and reliable use. Designed to detect foetal heartbeats from the early weeks of pregnancy (from 10 to 12 weeks), it is intended for both healthcare professionals and private users who want to create an auditory bond with their developing baby.
Its pocket size makes it easy to take to appointments or when travelling, without compromising on sound quality. The BT-200 uses a 2 MHz Doppler probe calibrated for an intensity of less than 10 mW/cm², ensuring safe use in accordance with ultrasound exposure standards. Thanks to its built-in 1.2 W speaker, the audio is clear and pleasant, with no crackling, even at low volumes.
Ergonomics is at the heart of this model: its backlit LCD screen makes it easy to read the heart rate, even in low-light environments. Additional visual indicators provide information on the quality of the signal received and the battery level. The BT-200 also features an automatic sound shut-off function after one minute and complete shutdown after five minutes of inactivity, optimising battery life (up to 6 hours of continuous use with two AA batteries).
The BT-200 can also be connected to a computer via a sound card (BCM-220) to record and play back heart sounds in .wav format, allowing for easy archiving or sharing between professionals or with future parents. Dedicated software is provided for this purpose.
Practical, discreet and accurate, the BT-200 adapts to all healthcare environments, while offering ease of use that is appreciated by patients and practitioners alike. Its design includes a hook for hanging around the neck, a headphone jack for individual listening, and a probe holder on the back of the device.
