The Racer raL8192-80km for exceptional linear accuracy in demanding industrial applications
The Basler Racer raL8192-80km is a linear camera that redefines quality and performance standards in industrial vision. Designed by Basler, one of the world's leading manufacturers of professional digital imaging products, the raL8192-80km offers an impressive resolution of 8192 pixels with a capture rate of up to 80,000 lines per second. It is equipped with a monochrome Awaiba DR-8k-3.5 linear CMOS sensor, which combines detection sensitivity and readout speed to meet the most complex optical inspection and industrial digitisation requirements.
With a pixel size of only 3.5 µm x 3.5 µm, the raL8192-80km guarantees extremely fine image accuracy, which is essential for detecting the smallest defects on production lines or for digitising documents and materials with exceptional detail. Thanks to its multiple tap geometry options (1X, 1X2, 1X4, 1X8, 1X10), it offers flexibility to adapt to the specific requirements of each industrial application.
The camera communicates via a Camera Link interface, available in basic, medium or full configuration, ensuring reliable and fast data transmission. The pixel clock frequency can be selected between 32.5 MHz, 48 MHz, 65 MHz and 83.5 MHz, allowing performance to be optimised according to the acquisition system used.
The raL8192-80km is designed for simple and robust integration. Its compact (33.77 mm x 56 mm x 62 mm without adapter) and lightweight (≈210 g without adapter) housing facilitates integration into confined spaces while meeting strict mechanical requirements. For optics, it is compatible with several lens mounts ( F-mount, M42x0.75, M42x1.0, M58x0.75), offering great flexibility of use. The choice of adapter must be made separately according to specific requirements.
Designed for indoor use, the camera operates in a temperature range from 0°C to +60°C with a relative humidity of 20 to 80% (non-condensing). Its moderate power consumption of 5.5 W and ability to dissipate heat efficiently ensure reliable operation even in demanding industrial environments.
In terms of features, it offers precise exposure time control via API, multiple pixel formats (Mono 8, Mono 10, Mono 12) and flexible synchronisation via hardware trigger, software trigger or free run mode. Users can also benefit from the many tools in the Basler pylon software suite, which is compatible with Windows, Linux and OS X, for easy control, quick configuration and optimised application development.
The Basler Racer raL8192-80km is CE certified, FCC approved, UL listed, and compliant with RoHS, GenICam and REACH standards.
