Description

GE Healthcare's CASE™ system: the gold standard in cardiovascular stress testing

GE Healthcare's CASE™ stress test system is a state-of-the-art medical solution designed to meet the requirements of cardiology healthcare professionals. This sophisticated device ensures accurate acquisition of ECG signals during exercise and provides comprehensive real-time analysis, contributing to a reliable and detailed cardiovascular assessment. Featuring an ergonomic user interface, the CASE™ integrates seamlessly into clinical workflows thanks to its compatibility with information systems such as MUSE™ and electronic medical records (EMR). It supports extensive measurements, including ST amplitudes, slopes, ST/HR loops and vectorcardiographic analysis, while allowing extensive customisation of reports and exams.

Using Marquette™ 12SL technology, the CASE™ provides automatic arrhythmia detection, adult and pediatric ECG analysis, and post-exam review with manual correction options. Full ECG disclosure, available for up to 60 minutes, allows in-depth analysis of events during the test. High-resolution signal acquisition, with sampling rates of up to 8,000 Hz, guarantees unrivalled fidelity, essential for detecting fine signals and pacemaker waves.

On the hardware side, the CASE™ features a high-resolution 22-inch LCD screen, a waterproof alphanumeric keyboard, an ergonomic height-adjustable trolley, as well as multiple communication interfaces: USB, serial, analogue, Ethernet, external DVD and SD ports. The system runs under Windows 10 64-bit IoT, with a small footprint and a design designed for the hospital environment. It also complies with international electrical safety standards (IEC 60601) and is protected against defibrillation discharges of up to 360J, ensuring patient and user safety.

The CAM 14 acquisition module provides wired or wireless acquisition, with automatic detection of incorrectly positioned electrodes via LED indicators. An internal battery provides up to 40 hours of continuous use in wireless mode, making it particularly practical for dynamic environments.

Connectivity is another major advantage of the CASE™: it allows data export in PDF, Word, XML or Excel format, and seamless integration with MUSE™, CardioSoft™ or other EMR systems via DICOM or GDT/BDT interface. All of these features, combined with exceptional signal processing performance, make the CASE™ an essential choice for cardiology centres wishing to offer reliable, reproducible and documented stress tests.

The CASE™ system is much more than just a stress test device: it is a genuine cardiovascular analysis ecosystem, scalable, accurate and designed for the everyday needs of healthcare professionals.
