Tissue-Tek® AutoWrite®: for error-free, uninterrupted cassette printing
Accurate and secure sample identification is a key concern in the laboratory. The Tissue-Tek AutoWrite from Sakura addresses this need through fully automated cassette printing, eliminating the need for manual labeling. Designed to integrate seamlessly into the workflow of histology and cytology laboratories, this device enables direct cassette printing from a LIMS system or a standalone computer. Each cassette is marked with alphanumeric characters, graphics, or 1D and 2D barcodes, ensuring reliable traceability throughout the process.
Equipped with a convenient stack loading system, the printer can hold up to six magazines of 80 cassettes each, for a total capacity of 480 cassettes. This configuration allows for continuous operation throughout the day, with no interruptions due to frequent reloading. The separate unloading module can accommodate 100 printed cassettes, simplifying their collection.
The Tissue-Tek AutoWrite also stands out for its high-speed performance, processing up to 900 cassettes per hour. This sustained throughput is a major advantage for high-volume laboratories, while ensuring consistent precision in sample identification. The ink used offers optimal durability, with one cartridge supporting the printing of 60,000 cassettes or up to three months of use, whichever comes first. This high yield helps minimize interruptions due to consumable replacement.
On the technical side, the device offers a resolution of up to 360 dpi, ensuring excellent readability of printed information. Its driver is compatible with Windows® systems, facilitating integration into existing IT infrastructures. Thanks to its compact design (46 x 65 x 94 cm) and weight of 29 kg, the Tissue-Tek AutoWrite can be easily installed in any lab environment without cluttering the workspace.
This device is part of a broader strategy to automate critical processes, reducing the risk of human error, increasing productivity, and enhancing the overall quality of laboratory services. It offers significant comfort for operators while ensuring the uniformity of results required by modern laboratories.
