To ensure the highest levels of safety, the Multifuge® 1S is equipped with a comprehensive set of safety systems. The housing and lid are made from 6mm thick steel, providing robust protection. The lid features a window for easy visibility, along with a secure locking mechanism that ensures the centrifuge cannot be operated unless properly locked. The lid remains locked during operation, and can only be opened once the rotor has come to a complete stop and the power is turned on.

The built-in SMARTspin™ system further enhances safety by continuously monitoring rotor balance, adjusting parameters in real-time to prevent imbalances that could otherwise lead to operational failure or damage. This electronic imbalance detection is especially important for ensuring smooth, safe operation during high-speed rotations.

Advanced User Interface and Control

The Multifuge® 1S comes with a microprocessor-driven control system, operated through an intuitive "EASYset" interface. The key pad and display are designed for easy operation, featuring a continuous surface that is easy to clean and maintain, making it perfect for lab environments. The system allows users to program and recall the last used parameters, while storing data until new values are entered.

Users can set the speed from 300 rpm to 15,000 rpm in 10-rpm increments, and the time can be adjusted from 1 minute to 99 hours, depending on the mode selected. The advanced acceleration and deceleration profiles offer nine options each, allowing for customization based on specific needs. This flexibility provides users with precise control over the centrifugation process, ensuring optimal results for different types of samples.
