The easy-Medchem is a configuration of Vapourtec's E-series, developed specifically to meet the requirements of medicinal chemistry. This modular and scalable system allows researchers to perform complex syntheses with remarkable precision. It is equipped with two reactors and can be configured with two or three independent pumps, offering great flexibility in the management of reagents and reaction conditions.
Each reactor position accepts all fourteen reactor types available for Vapourtec's high-end R series. Reactor changes can be made in seconds, without tools, thanks to a secure mounting system in an insulated glass manifold. This manifold ensures uniform and precise heating or cooling by forced convection.
Intuitive interface and simplified manual control
The easy-Medchem features a clear and intuitive touchscreen user interface, allowing for immediate operation with no learning curve. Available functions range from basic manual control to automated tools such as timers and information applications. Integrated tools include:
- A solvent vapour pressure calculator
- A reaction rate calculator based on the Arrhenius equation
- A residence time calculation tool
- A residence time dispersion and distribution tool
These features facilitate experiment planning and optimisation, while ensuring high reproducibility.
Accessories and upgrade options for maximum flexibility
The easy-Medchem can be enhanced with several accessories and upgrade options, allowing the system to be tailored to the specific needs of researchers. Available options include:
- Cooled reactor kit: for sub-ambient temperature reactions, including a 5 ml reactor, a cooled gas generator, a third reagent vial, a tube kit and an additional mixer.
- Collection valve kit: for automated separation of products and waste, including a collection valve, cable, bracket, tube kit and waste vial.
- Organometallic reagent kit: designed for air-sensitive reagents, with long and short suction needles for inert gas introduction.
- Conversion to 3 pumps: addition of a third pump with mounting plates and additional reagent valve.
