The HeraCell 150 represents the pinnacle of CO2 incubator technology, offering unparalleled performance and precision for cell and tissue cultures. This incubator is meticulously designed to provide a controlled environment that closely mimics body temperature, ensuring optimal conditions for the development of cells, embryos, and other sensitive cultures.

The HeraCell 150 features an advanced temperature control system with a range from TA+3°C to 55°C, maintaining a temperature deviation of ±0.1°C over time and ±0.5°C spatially. This precise temperature management ensures consistent and reliable growth conditions for your cultures.

The incubator’s direct humidification system provides high relative humidity (≥95% rH) and rapid recovery times. Compared to conventional water tray systems, the HeraCell 150’s humidity recovery time is up to five times faster, reducing the risk of culture dehydration and ensuring optimal growth conditions.

Unique to Heraeus incubators, ContraCon is an automated decontamination routine using moist heat at 90°C. This process effectively eliminates mycoplasma and maintains a constant surface temperature on all contamination-prone surfaces. ContraCon has been validated by independent laboratories for its effectiveness.

The HeraCell 150 includes precise CO2 and O2 measurement and control systems. The CO2 control range is from 0 to 20% with a precision of ±0.1%, while the O2 control range extends from 1 to 21% or 5 to 90%, also with a precision of ±0.1%. This ensures a precise and stable incubation atmosphere tailored to specific experimental needs.

With external dimensions of 637 x 867 x 766 mm and an internal chamber of 470 x 607 x 530 mm, the HeraCell 150 offers a generous total volume of approximately 151 liters. It features an interior in stainless steel or solid copper (optional), known for its effective contamination control properties. The incubator supports up to 10 shelves, allowing flexible configurations for various experimental setups.

The HeraCell 150 is designed with fewer contamination-prone surfaces, making cleaning and maintenance easier. Its smooth, rounded corners and easy-access port facilitate quick and efficient cleaning. The new water level alarm provides early warning when the reservoir needs refilling, ensuring uninterrupted operation.

Designed for energy efficiency, the HeraCell 150 has a nominal power of 0.60 kW (0.64 kW) and minimal energy consumption of 0.08 kWh/h at 37°C. The ContraCon function increases energy consumption to 0.12 kWh/h but ensures thorough decontamination.

The doors can be configured for left or right-handed use, and all door seals are removable for easy cleaning. The incubator also features a pull-out tray for storing supplies and research notes, enhancing overall usability.
