ICO240med: A Reliable CO₂ Incubator for Medical Applications
The Memmert ICO240med CO₂ incubator is engineered to meet the high demands of laboratories working with cell, bacterial, and tissue cultures. With an internal volume of 241 liters, this unit ensures uniform regulation of critical environmental parameters, including temperature, CO₂ concentration, relative humidity, and, optionally, oxygen (O₂).
Precision is central to this incubator’s design: CO₂ regulation is managed via a dual-beam NDIR sensor system with barometric pressure compensation and self-diagnosis. Temperature control is provided by two DIN A-class Pt100 sensors that monitor each other to maintain consistent regulation. Temperature stability is ensured with outstanding accuracy of ±0.1 K at 37 °C, delivering reliable culture conditions at all times.
The comprehensive heating system includes door and rear-wall heating to prevent condensation and ensure even heat distribution. Humidity is controlled by a Peltier element, maintaining levels up to 93% ± 2.5% when the water tray is in use. Active humidity regulation is available with the optional K7 module, and oxygen control is supported via the T6 option.
The TwinDISPLAY ControlCOCKPIT, with its dual TFT color screens, offers intuitive and clear navigation. Using AtmoCONTROL software, users can program and monitor incubation cycles via USB or Ethernet. In the event of a power failure, program data is automatically retained.
For safety, the ICO240med is equipped with the AutoSAFETY function, which deactivates heating or cooling if predefined thresholds are exceeded. Visual and audible alarms provide immediate alerts in case of any malfunction.
Built with a robust stainless steel structure, a 2-point locking mechanism, and an inner glass door with sampling port, the ICO240med offers a combination of durability, hygiene, and functionality. It is compatible with 2 perforated shelves, 1 water tray, a membrane filter, and a CO₂ connection kit.
Reliable, precise, and user-friendly, the ICO240med is an ideal choice for medical, pharmaceutical, and research environments requiring strictly controlled culture conditions.
