INCO108med CO₂ Medical Incubator: Stability and Reliability for Sensitive Cultures
The INCO108med CO₂ incubator from Memmert is engineered to meet the demands of laboratories performing cell, tissue, and bacterial cultures in a precisely controlled environment. With a 108-liter internal capacity, it ensures stable and reproducible conditions, which are essential in medical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological research.
The six-sided heating system—including heated side walls, rear panel, door, and bottom—prevents condensation and ensures uniform temperature distribution. The parameters are controlled via an electronic microprocessor with an LED digital display, providing real-time monitoring of temperature, CO₂ concentration, humidity, and operational time (day and hour).
CO₂ regulation is achieved through an infrared sensor with automatic re-calibration, ensuring consistent accuracy even with fluctuations in the ambient environment. The unit also features an integrated altitude control system, a sterile gas inlet filter, and an automatic CO₂ shut-off mechanism when the door is opened.
Humidity control is maintained via an integrated system, offering a relative humidity range of 88% to 97% with digital readout and fine-tuned regulation. The incubator includes three calibration points for CO₂ (5%, 7%, and 10%) and two for humidity (20% and 90%), allowing precise adjustments to meet specific experimental protocols.
Enhanced safety is provided by multiple features: a mechanical temperature limiter (TB), overtemperature monitoring system (TWW/TWB), AutoSAFETY automatic surveillance, integrated error diagnostics, and both visual and audible alarms in the event of deviations in temperature, CO₂ levels, water reservoir status, or door opening.
The INCO108med also includes a gas sampling port, two perforated stainless steel shelves, a water reservoir, and compatibility with the STERICard sterilization module, enabling automatic sterilization at 160 °C for 4 hours without disassembling internal components.
