Nikon V-12B compact tabletop profile projectors: precision, ergonomics and performance in dimensional inspection
Nikon's V-12B series is the benchmark in benchtop profile projector , specially designed to meet the requirements of metrology laboratories, high-precision production units and state-of-the-art quality control environments. These projectors combine Nikon's optical technology with a robust and compact mechanical design, providing a reliable and high-performance tool for non-contact measurement of contours, dimensions, radii, angles and threads on mechanical parts.
The V-12B stands out first and foremost for the quality of its projected image, which is straight and non-inverted, greatly facilitating visual interpretation and handling. The 305 mm circular screen, with an engraved central cross, allows for detailed observation and precise alignment of elements. Thanks to a reflection/diascopic lighting system, the user can easily adjust the lighting to suit the material and shape of the part.
The V-12BDC and V-12BD models differ mainly in their reading options: the V-12BDC model incorporates both a digital XY counter and a rotary digital protractor, while the V-12BD is equipped with the digital protractor only. Both variants allow the screen to be rotated 360°, offering great positioning flexibility for complex measurements.
With its turret with three interchangeable lenses, the V-12B accepts a wide range of magnifications from 5× to 200×, allowing perfect adaptation to every application, whether micro-control or medium-sized parts. All lenses are parfocal, which means that there is no need to readjust the focus when changing lenses.
The mechanical design is based on a rigid structure derived from CAE analysis, increasing the stability of the device and allowing it to support samples up to 100 mm in height. The focusing system is achieved by moving the optical head, allowing the installation of large stages such as the PS 10×6B, which allows transverse movements of up to 250 × 150 mm.
The V-12B is compatible with a wide range of Nikon accessories, including rotary tables, filters (ND, green), magnification verification tools, data processing software (E-MAX) and linear displacement sensors for digitising measurements. Optionally, the system can be supplemented with a DP-E1A data processor or a QUADRA-CHEK 2D unit for capturing, processing and archiving measurement results.
The Nikon V-12B is the ideal tool for all professionals who demand precision, image clarity, versatility and compactness, whether in the manufacture of micromechanical parts, watchmaking, aeronautics or medical devices.
