Telstar's MINI V/PCR compact vertical laminar flow hood is designed to meet the most stringent requirements for handling non-hazardous samples, particularly in the fields of molecular biology, microbiology and PCR testing. Thanks to its intelligent design and vertical laminar airflow, it guarantees a particle-free working area, ideal for sensitive handling where contamination is essential.
This model stands out for its ultra-compact dimensions, allowing easy installation in all laboratory environments, even those where space is limited. With an external width of only 670 mm, it fits easily through standard doors, making its integration smooth and without logistical constraints. Laminar airflow is provided by a high-efficiency motor equipped with a silent blower, ensuring regular air circulation at a constant speed above the work surface. The unit creates an effective protective barrier against dust and other pollutants present in the ambient air.
The MINI V/PCR incorporates a high-efficiency HEPA H14 filter , easily accessible for replacement, ensuring an ISO 5 class environment (Class 3 according to ISO 14644-1), compliant with Grade A GMP standards. For even greater safety, a pre-filter is placed at the inlet to protect the main unit and extend the life of the main filter. The interior of the unit consists of a perfectly smooth, robust and easy-to-clean AISI 304 stainless steel worktop.
In addition to its protective function, this hood has been designed for optimal user comfort. It is equipped with an intuitive electronic control system with an alphanumeric LCD display showing the air flow rate, the UV lamp countdown, and the operating hours of the unit and the lamp. Users can easily adjust the air flow speed (full speed or half speed mode), activate or deactivate the LED light, UV lamp and any optional equipment using the backlit buttons on the control panel.
One of the major advantages of the MINI V/PCR is the integrated UV lamp with timer, which is essential for denaturing oligonucleotide contaminants during PCR preparations. This feature makes the MINI V/PCR ideal for genetic research, biomedical diagnostics and quality control laboratories.
Finally, despite its high performance, this fume cupboard remains very energy efficient thanks to its low-consumption EC motor and LED lighting, limiting the total power consumption to just 66 W.
