Datacolor CONDITIONER™: Precision climate chamber for sample stability
The Datacolor CONDITIONER™ is a sample conditioning chamber designed to provide a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment essential for reliable analysis of the optical characteristics of materials. This device simulates and maintains precise climatic conditions for laboratory samples, preventing any colour or structural changes due to environmental variations. It is particularly recommended in fields where consistent test parameters are critical, such as the textile industry, printing, plastics or materials science research.
The CONDITIONER™ with lighting features UVA tubes that reproduce the standardised D65 light spectrum (ISO 10977), which is essential for colorimetric applications in daylight simulation. The chamber thus allows simultaneous viewing and conditioning of samples in a stable light and climate environment.
Equipped with a two-channel RP1 digital controller, the device independently regulates temperature and humidity with an accuracy of 0.1°C and 0.1% RH. The operating range is 10 °C to 50 °C, with adjustable relative humidity from 0% to 90% RH. The CONDITIONER™ is equipped with an electrode steam generation system in a water tank, requiring only tap water with controlled conductivity.
The inner chamber is made of stainless steel (1.4301) for durability and corrosion resistance. A glass door allows quick observation without disturbing the internal conditions. The entire system is protected by several independent safety devices, including a safety temperature controller (class 3.1) and a thermal limiter (class 1) that automatically cuts off the power supply in the event of excessive overheating.
The CONDITIONER™ is also designed to be easy to install, either via a connection to the water supply or using a tank with an integrated pump. Waste water drainage, cleaning and maintenance are facilitated by a modular design. Visual and audible alarms warn of any deviation from the programmed parameters.
