The Affinity consultation unit - The French Unit
This unit is specially designed to accommodate two instruments and a refractor arm, offering an optimal solution for refractive examinations. The Affinity's compact design, combined with its motorized, tilting tabletop, optimizes practitioner comfort, regardless of practitioner or patient size.
The two-instrument tray features a rotating movement to present the first instrument, followed by a manual or motorized (optional) translation movement to position the second instrument in front of the patient. The three-instrument tray offers smooth double rotation, reinforced to support heavy devices, making it an ideal choice for refraction and medical consultation instruments.
The curved light column gives the Affinity a unique aesthetic, with thoughtful details such as the half-eye shape of the side panels and grooves on the front of the drawer adding both elegance and sturdiness. As an option, the unit can be fitted with one to three drawers for convenient storage of trial glasses and everyday accessories.
The sliding motorized refractor arm can be tilted (optional on the two-instrument tray), providing more natural near vision examination conditions. The height of the arm in relation to the tabletop has been carefully designed to maintain a constant eye level throughout the examination, reducing practitioner fatigue and average consultation time.
The Affinity consultation unit integrates the constant eye height function for instruments, eliminating the need to adjust plate and chair heights when switching from one instrument to another. The chair column can be moved 25 cm to ensure a stable, comfortable position for the patient during the examination, with a range of options for armrests, footrests and more.
All controls are accessible via an ergonomic control panel, positioned to facilitate daily use and limit musculoskeletal disorders. The three-instrument tray is equipped with a second standard console for direct control of chair and instrument height.
