Medmont E300 Corneal Topographer: Precision and Clinical Comfort Combined
The Medmont E300 USB has established itself as a benchmark tool for topographic analysis of the human cornea. Designed to meet the needs of specialists in contact lens fitting, refractive surgery, and corneal pathology, it offers extensive, highly reliable corneal mapping while integrating seamlessly into clinical workflows. Its 32-ring Placido system and 9,600 measurement points ensure precise data acquisition from the corneal center to the limbus, with maximum coverage of up to 18 mm thanks to the composite capture feature. This analytical capacity makes the E300 ideal for procedures such as orthokeratology, rigid or scleral lens fitting, and keratoconus monitoring.
The E300 enables automatic image acquisition, reducing errors from poor centering, blur, or patient movement. The system automatically identifies and selects the best four captures, ensuring accurate reconstruction of the corneal surface. This allows clinicians to focus on result interpretation rather than the acquisition process. The embedded software offers advanced analysis tools, including Zernike decomposition, axial, tangential, and elevation maps, as well as tear film quality (TFSQ) analysis, available in both still images and video. These features enable precise tracking of corneal changes, particularly following overnight orthokeratology lens wear.
Contact lens fitting is further enhanced by a comprehensive module compatible with a wide range of geometries: multicurve, toric, aspheric, and custom designs for keratoconic or irregular corneas. A simulated fluorescein pattern display, coupled with a tear clearance graph, allows for visual assessment of lens-to-cornea fit. The integrated database includes thousands of standard lens designs and can be manually expanded.
Connected via USB to a PC, the Medmont E300 is compatible with practice management software and EMR/EHR platforms. It integrates easily into local or remote networks, ensuring smooth synchronization across multiple workstations. Secure patient data storage allows for straightforward comparison of sequential exams, supporting long-term monitoring.
The Medmont E300 combines accuracy, efficiency, and user-friendly ergonomics in a compact device tailored to the demands of daily clinical practice.
