The Sirius is a corneal tomographer and topographer that combines Placido disk corneal topography with Sheimpflug anterior segment tomography. It provides accurate measurements of the cornea over a diameter of 12 mm, aiding in the diagnosis of eye conditions such as keratoconus. Its Phoenix software allows for the storage and analysis of patient data, while its numerous features, such as integrated pupillometry and tear film analysis, make it a versatile tool for eye care professionals.

Description

Sirius: Advanced Corneal Tomographer and Topographer

The Sirius combines Placido disc corneal topography with Sheimpflug anterior segment tomography. Providing information on corneal pachymetry, elevation, curvature, and dioptric power of both corneal surfaces over a diameter of 12 mm. Its 25 corneal sections allow for precise biometric measurements of the anterior chamber, reducing eye movements for reliable results. In addition to clinical diagnosis, the Sirius is used in refractive and cataract surgery, with an IOL calculation module. Objective examinations provide precise measurement of pupil diameter in various lighting conditions, useful for refractive surgery planning and postoperative follow-up.

Phoenix Software Features

The Sirius uses the Phoenix software platform for patient data storage and analysis, shareable across all CSO devices.

Keratoconus Screening

Early detection of keratoconus provides crucial information about the patient's cornea, helping prevent complications before surgical intervention.

Intrastromal Ring Planning

Based on pachymetry mapping and altimetric data, the Sirius enables planning of intrastromal rings for refractive defect correction and certain types of keratoconus.

Glaucoma Screening

The Sirius allows glaucoma specialists to measure irido-corneal angles and pachymetry, aiding in disease diagnosis.

Pupillometry

With integrated software, the Sirius precisely measures pupil diameter in various lighting conditions, essential for optimizing visual quality.

IOL Calculation Module (Optional)

Based on ray-tracing techniques, this module calculates the spherical and toric power of the intraocular lens, regardless of corneal condition.

Contact Lens Application Module

A contact lens fitting module simulates the adjustment of rigid lenses from an internal database.

Corneal Aberrometry

Aberrometric analysis provides a comprehensive view of corneal aberrations, aiding in understanding patient visual problems.

Meibography

Meibomian glands are visualized under infrared light, with analysis software to evaluate their condition.

Advanced Tear Film Analysis

Placido disk technology enables advanced tear film analysis, crucial for a comprehensive diagnosis of dry eye syndrome.
