Description

CR5000x2 High-Speed Camera – Performance, Precision and Compactness for Dynamic Analysis

The CamRecord CR5000x2 is a high-speed camera developed by Optronis to meet the demanding requirements of capturing fast events in industrial, scientific or research environments. Capable of recording up to 5000 frames per second at a native resolution of 512 x 512 pixels, it stands out for its high light sensitivity, extremely compact format and ease of integration into measurement systems thanks to its Gigabit Ethernet interface and numerous synchronisation options.

Equipped with a progressive scan CMOS sensor, the CR5000x2 is designed to capture motion without compromising image quality, even at high speeds. Its minimum exposure time of 1 microsecond, combined with an ultra-efficient global electronic shutter (> 99.9%), prevents motion blur. This technology is particularly valuable in applications where fast motion or impact analysis must be performed frame by frame with extreme sharpness.

The user benefits from an extended frame rate range of up to 600,000 fps by reducing the capture area to 512 x 4 pixels, allowing the resolution to be perfectly adjusted to the phenomenon being observed. Thanks to its onboard memory options (up to 16 GB), the camera is capable of storing several seconds of recording even at full frame rate, ensuring the availability of images that are crucial for analysis.

The TimeBench software provides an intuitive interface for controlling, recording, playing back and analysing video sequences. Compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7, it also offers intelligent trigger options based on image content variation or external TTL signals. The package is rounded off by compatibility with development environments such as LabView and SDKs for integration into customised solutions.

Designed in a rugged, lightweight housing, the CR5000x2 is ideal for mounting on a tripod or integration into test benches, with a choice of Nikon F or C mounts for easy adaptation to various lenses. With a power supply of only 12 VDC and a power consumption of 12 W, it can be used in the laboratory or in the field.

The CR5000x2 combines technical performance, compactness and ease of use, making it a first-class choice for all situations requiring ultra-fast, high-quality image acquisition.
