Description

CROSSVENT-3+: Compact, high-performance and safe intensive care and transport ventilator

The CROSSVENT-3+ from Bio-Med Devices is a highly reliable intensive care and transport ventilator designed for optimal care of paediatric and adult patients in hospital settings and during medical transport. This microprocessor-controlled electronic ventilator combines light weight, autonomy, versatility and safety to meet the most stringent clinical requirements.

Designed for mobile use, the CROSSVENT-3+ stands out thanks to its compact size (28 cm wide and weighing only 4.8 kg) and its integrated battery offering up to 6 hours of autonomy. It can be installed on a trolley, a stand, a bed rail or even in a medical vehicle (ambulance, helicopter). This logistical flexibility makes it ideal for emergency services, mobile intensive care units, mobile clinics and hospitals with intensive care units.

The CROSSVENT-3+ offers several ventilation modes: Assist Control, SIMV (Synchronised Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), CPAP, PEEP and pressure support, allowing treatment to be adapted to the patient's clinical condition. It can operate in volume-controlled or pressure-limited mode, with very fine settings: tidal volume from 5 to 2500 ml, respiratory rate from 5 to 150 bpm, maximum pressure of 120 cmH₂O, PEEP adjustable up to 35 cmH₂O, and pressure trigger between -0.2 and -10 cmH₂O.

Its graphic LCD screen with intuitive touch interface facilitates access to settings and alarm or configuration menus. Healthcare professionals can view airway pressure in real time via a bar graph, adjust ventilation settings in a few simple steps, and receive immediate visual and audible feedback in the event of an anomaly.

The ventilator has numerous safety and  monitoring features: audible alarms (up to 90 dB), visual LED alarms, automatic switchover to battery power in the event of a power failure, pressure and oxygen sensors (optional), and the ability to store settings even after power is turned off. Automatic altitude compensation ensures stable performance in airborne environments.

To enhance ergonomics and safety, the CROSSVENT-3+ features integrated tests (leak test, O₂ calibration), configuration menus and compatibility with air/O₂ blenders. Optional sensors measure expiratory volume and minute flow rate, triggering alarms in the event of abnormal values.

Finally, the technical design of the CROSSVENT-3+ is based on a minimal number of moving parts, ensuring increased reliability, simplified maintenance and excellent durability.

The CROSSVENT-3+ offers a complete, mobile and scalable solution for mechanical ventilation of patients in critical care, combining technology, compactness and safety. It is a trusted choice for healthcare facilities looking for a high-performance, easy-to-use transport and resuscitation ventilator.
