The Datascope CS300 from Getinge is a new generation of intra-aort al circulatory support system designed to optimise coronary perfusion, reduce afterload and improve cardiac output in critically ill patients. With the integration of exclusive INTELLISENSEâ„¢ technology, this intelligent device automates in vivo calibration, dynamically selects the best signal sources and independently adjusts trigger and timing parameters, providing a fast and reliable therapeutic response from the moment it is turned on.
Designed to reduce the cognitive load on clinicians, the CS300 replicates the behaviour of an experienced operator. Activated by simply pressing the START button, it initiates a series of automated procedures: auto-filling, selection of the optimal ECG channel, rhythm detection and adjustment of 1:1 support. It then adapts the augmentation levels to ensure effective circulatory support. However, the user retains the ability to manually adjust the deflation time for therapeutic customisation if necessary.
The CS300 features a 10.4-inch rotatable and tiltable TFT colour display that provides a clear view of ECG signals and blood pressures. Its user-friendly interface features intuitive menus, contextual help and a reduced number of keys for simplified navigation. The screen and keyboard can be detached for remote use, for example in the catheterisation room.
The system ensures rapid QRS complex recognition, high T wave rejection and compatibility with different types of pacemakers. It can operate in automatic, semi-automatic or manual modes, offering great flexibility of use. User preferences allow you to configure display, alarm and print settings, and the logging function allows you to annotate events (alarms, triggers, IABP settings).
In terms of ergonomics, the CS300 is based on a sturdy hospital trolley with large swivel castors and safety brakes, making it easy to transport even in crowded environments. It includes a serum holder, ergonomic carrying handles and storage space for accessories. It is compatible with refillable or disposable helium tanks, which are easily accessible via a dedicated hatch.
The device also offers full connectivity with clinical information systems via ECG and pressure data output ports. It features integrated diagnostic software, a configurable thermal printer and a comprehensive set of alarms differentiated according to their criticality. The CS300 complies with the most stringent international standards for electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, shock and vibration resistance.
