CT 02-50 – Reliability and Performance for Medical Vacuum Concentration
In medical and clinical environments, precision and sample preservation are paramount. The Christ CT 02-50 cold trap perfectly meets these requirements, enabling efficient solvent recovery during vacuum concentration processes. This device is ideal for integration into rotary concentration systems, such as RVCs (Rotational Vacuum Concentrators), to ensure stable and reproducible working conditions, which are essential in biological, genetic and pharmacological analyses.
With a capacity of 2 litres, the CT 02-50 is perfectly sized for routine laboratory tasks, while remaining compact enough to fit on a workbench. It efficiently condenses vapours at a temperature of -50 °C, which helps protect the vacuum pump and significantly reduces evaporation times. This efficiency is particularly useful for large-volume samples or those containing solvents that are difficult to evaporate, such as ethanol, isopropanol or acetonitrile, which are commonly used in hospital laboratories and molecular biology.
The CT 02-50 also improves process safety. By collecting vapours before they reach the pump, it prevents premature wear and tear on the pump and prevents the release of volatile compounds into the ambient air, a significant advantage for clinical research or environmental analysis laboratories. It thus actively contributes to preserving the integrity of equipment and working conditions.
Its structure is designed for long-lasting and easy use: it is emptied via a bottom valve, which simplifies daily handling. The CT 02-50 connects easily to concentrators in the Christ range, such as the RVC 2-18 CDplus or RVC 2-25 CDplus models, to form a complete gentle concentration solution. Whether for applications in molecular biology (DNA/RNA extraction), toxicology or forensic medicine, this cold trap guarantees a high level of performance and reliability.
