Description

DLTA 1608 by ProMinent®: Precision and Reliability for Metering Pumps

The DLTA 1608 from ProMinent® is a solenoid-driven diaphragm metering pump designed to deliver exceptional precision and reliability in chemical dosing applications. Equipped with ProMinent's innovative optoDrive® technology, this pump is part of the delta® series and represents a significant advancement in the field. The DLTA 1608 stands out for its ability to control the suction and discharge stroke durations, allowing for a wide adjustment ratio of 36,000:1. Users can thus precisely adjust the flow rate to meet the specific requirements of various applications.

The integrated optoDrive® technology is a true innovation in the industry, as it allows stroke durations to be adjusted for a more uniform flow and greater precision. By using the pump's energy profile, it detects overpressure and loss of prime without the need for an external monitoring device. This makes the DLTA 1608 particularly efficient and safe to use in demanding environments. In addition, the auto-degassing design ensures increased reliability, especially for applications involving off-gassing chemicals, guaranteeing optimal performance even under challenging conditions.

The flow range of the DLTA 1608 extends from 1.0 gallon per hour at 332 psi (3.8 l/h at 16 bar) to 19.8 gph at 29 psi (75 l/h at 2 bar), offering great flexibility. This adjustability is made possible by varying the stroke length and frequency, which allows the pump to be easily adapted to the specific needs of each application.

In terms of certification, the pump complies with the NSF/ANSI 61 standard when equipped with acrylic or PVDF liquid ends, making it suitable for potable water treatment and other aqueous solutions. The auto-degassing technology integrated into the DLTA 1608 detects air blockages and automatically corrects pressure losses, while the optoDrive® energy monitoring system alerts users to overpressure or loss of prime situations. With its adjustment ratio of 36,000:1, the pump helps reduce the number of models required for equipment standardization, thereby simplifying inventory and management.

For high-viscosity fluids, the pump offers special HV liquid ends that ensure safe and effective handling. The DLTA 1608 can also be equipped with pH, ORP, or chlorine control modules for more sophisticated chemical management. Additionally, the optional interface for PROFIBUS® or CANopen allows for seamless integration into existing automation systems, enhancing process control. The pump can also be fitted with a diaphragm rupture detection kit, providing alerts in case of problems, and the optoGuard® system, which detects blockages, air bubbles in the dosing head, and line breaks for increased safety.

The DLTA 1608 is particularly suited for water and wastewater treatment, chemical dosing in cooling towers and boiler systems, as well as feeding emulsion polymers in industrial applications. Its wide adjustment range makes it versatile for different process requirements, enabling precise and tailored management of chemical flow rates.
