DiluFlow®, a precise, fast and automated gravimetric dilution solution for modern laboratories
Interscience's DiluFlow® is a gravimetric dilution device designed to automate and speed up sample preparation in microbiology, particularly in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and environmental sectors. Its main function is to dilute a solid sample with the appropriate amount of diluent in an automated manner, while ensuring remarkable accuracy and complete traceability. Thanks to its integrated weighing system and rapid distribution of diluent via a peristaltic pump, it significantly reduces preparation time while minimising human error.
The DiluFlow® features a compact and ergonomic design with a robust and easy-to-clean 304L stainless steel body. Its ultra-low profile allows for optimal accessibility, thanks in particular to a height of less than 30 cm with the BagOpen® bag holder. The latter is equipped with the GeckoGrip® system, a patented innovation that guarantees optimal hold of the dilution bag. A removable drip tray, also patented, facilitates maintenance and reduces the risk of cross-contamination. In addition, the BagOpen®'s magnetic base ensures stable and secure installation on the laboratory bench.
The DiluFlow® handles dilutions ranging from ½ to 1/99 with an accuracy of over 99% in Standard or Precise mode. Speed is also a key feature: a 25 g sample diluted to 1/10 is processed in less than 8 seconds with the Booster Kit, while 90 mL of diluent can be dispensed in less than 7 seconds. This performance delivers significant productivity gains for laboratories working at high throughput rates.
Traceability is another major advantage of DiluFlow®. It is equipped with an RS232 printer output, a USB port for a computer and a jack connection for a foot pedal, and can be combined with monitoring software to record critical data: sample weight, total weight, dilution factor, accuracy, operator name, date, time and sample number. This data can be exported to Excel™, OpenOffice™ or CSV format.
