DX-G: a high-performance, modular X-ray cassette digitisation system
The AGFA DX-G is a CR digitisation system designed to convert latent images on phosphor plates into highly accurate digital data. Featuring fine-beam laser scanning technology, the DX-G guarantees high resolution and optimal image fidelity, which is essential for reliable radiological diagnosis.
This digitiser is designed for demanding hospital environments. It accepts up to five cassettes simultaneously, enabling continuous workflow management without interruption. Cassettes are automatically fed, digitised and ejected, freeing operators from repetitive manual tasks. Each image is processed, erased and reinserted into its cassette, ready for re-exposure.
The DX-G integrates seamlessly with an NX workstation via a dedicated Ethernet connection, where images are identified, processed and archived. It also allows images to be rerouted to other stations in the event of unavailability or failure, ensuring continuity of service. In the event of a loss of connection, the system temporarily stores the images and resumes sending them once the link is restored.
Image quality is based on needle plate technology, which limits the diffusion of the light signal and thus increases the signal-to-noise ratio. The system is also equipped with a plate erasure mechanism after digitisation and offers a re-erasure mode to prevent ghost images.
Designed for stationary or mobile use, the DX-G is robust and complies with international electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards.
Maintenance is facilitated by quick access to essential components, such as the air filter and optical unit, and simple cleaning procedures that can be carried out by the user.
With the DX-G, AGFA offers a reliable, fast and high-quality solution for healthcare facilities looking to modernise their diagnostic imaging chain while keeping operating costs under control.
