The EBA 21 centrifuge: Maximum performance for microlitre applications
The EBA 21 centrifuge is designed to deliver exceptional performance in microlitre applications while meeting the daily demands of laboratories. Thanks to its maintenance-free variable frequency motor, it reaches a maximum speed of 18,000 revolutions per minute, generating a relative centrifugal force (RCF) of up to 25,718. This power enables fast and efficient separation of samples, even in the smallest volumes.
The EBA 21 is compatible with a wide range of rotors, including fixed-angle and swing-bucket rotors, giving it great flexibility. It can accommodate tubes of various capacities, ranging from 0.2 ml to 50 ml, and adapts to various types of tubes, including blood collection tubes, urine tubes, haematocrit capillaries and spin columns. This versatility allows laboratories to customise the device to their specific needs.
Intuitive technology and ergonomics
The EBA 21's user interface is designed for intuitive use. The N digital control panel guides the user through the menu options, allowing easy entry of parameters such as speed (RPM), centrifugal force (RCF), running time, and acceleration/deceleration ramps. Three complete programmes can be stored and recalled, facilitating repetitive operations.
The lid is equipped with a twist lock for effortless opening and closing, as well as a viewing window. An LED indicator light signals critical conditions: imbalance, rotor rotation, and lid opening availability. These features enhance safety and ease of use.
Certified safety and compliance with standards
Safety is at the heart of the EBA 21's design. It features a metal housing and lid, a stainless steel centrifuge chamber, lid locking and retention, lid fall protection, emergency unlocking and automatic shutdown in case of imbalance. Automatic rotor recognition adds an extra layer of safety.
Certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001, the EBA 21 complies with current European standards for medical devices. It meets the most stringent quality and safety requirements, ensuring reliable use in professional environments.
