BINDER ED 115: the benchmark drying chamber for uniform and economical drying
The BINDER ED 115 is a natural convection drying and heating oven designed for routine applications requiring high temperatures and impeccable thermal uniformity. Used in many areas such as biology laboratories, pharmaceutical industries and research institutes, this oven offers a temperature range from +5 °C above ambient temperature up to +300 °C, making it ideal for drying, heating or sterilisation operations requiring perfect control of thermal parameters. BINDER's exclusive APT.line™ system guarantees exceptional temperature uniformity throughout the chamber, with a fluctuation of less than ±0.4 K at 150 °C and uniformity of less than ±1.5 K. Thanks to natural convection, heat distribution is gentle and constant, without the need for a fan, which reduces turbulence and protects sensitive samples.
The ED 115 offers outstanding energy efficiency, with consumption of around 140 Wh/h at 100 °C and 245 Wh/h at 150 °C, representing savings of up to 30% compared to conventional ovens. The temperature rises to 150°C in 45 minutes and the thermal recovery after opening the door is achieved in just 16 minutes. The control is intuitive thanks to an LCD screen, and data can be recorded via the integrated USB port. Its useful capacity of 114 litres, combined with two chrome shelves (up to five in total), allows a large number of samples to be processed without compromising thermal uniformity.
The ED 115 incorporates an independent class 2 safety device in accordance with DIN 12880, with a visual alarm, ensuring safe use even in the event of a temperature drift. The appliance also stands out for its ergonomic design, optimised footprint, robustness (54 kg) and stackability for space saving.
Thanks to a wide range of options (glass door, interior lighting, PT100 sensor, additional alarms), the ED 115 can be adapted to specific requirements. It is compatible with APT-COM™ software for the management, monitoring and archiving of temperature cycles in accordance with GLP or FDA (21 CFR Part 11) requirements. Whether for standard requirements or demanding applications, the ED 115 is the benchmark choice for laboratory drying and heating.
