EKT 3001 electronic contact thermometer – Precision temperature control made easy
The EKT 3001 electronic contact thermometer from Heidolph is the ideal solution for all temperature measurement and control applications in laboratory environments. Designed to replace conventional mercury thermometers, it offers outstanding accuracy, intelligent control and maximum safety, while meeting modern user requirements for simplicity and efficiency.
This thermometer features microprocessor-controlled electronics, which guarantee excellent linearity and high accuracy of the measured values. Thanks to its integrated fuzzy logic technology, it is able to anticipate when the target temperature will be reached and stop heating at the right moment, thus preventing the setpoint from being exceeded. This feature is particularly useful when handling sensitive liquids or for experiments requiring a stable and precisely controlled temperature.
The EKT 3001 electronic contact thermometer has a high-precision Pt1000 probe encapsulated in a stainless steel tube (EKT 3001 version) or DURAN glass for better chemical resistance ( EKT 3001 G version). The probe length of 210 mm, combined with a flexible cable of 700 mm, allows precise and safe immersion in the solution to be analysed. The sensor is independent of the housing, allowing the controller to be positioned away from heat sources and corrosive vapours, thus extending the service life of the device.
Safety is at the heart of the EKT 3001 design. The device is equipped with several protection systems: automatic probe and cable monitoring, short-circuit or breakage alarm, immediate shutdown of heating in case of detected anomalies. All information is clearly displayed on a multifunction LCD screen, which shows the current temperature, setpoint, maximum temperature reached and any error messages.
Compact and lightweight, it can be powered directly by Heidolph heating stirrers or by an optional mains adapter. It does not have its own switch: it is switched on and off by the device to which it is connected, ensuring easy integration into the laboratory's thermal control chain.
The EKT 3001 electronic contact thermometer is also designed to be robust and durable. Its polyamide housing withstands normal laboratory conditions and maintenance is kept to a minimum. No frequent calibration is necessary, and the only precautions to be taken are regular cleaning of the housing with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.
The Heidolph EKT 3001 electronic contact thermometer is a reliable, intuitive and ultra-precise measuring instrument . Whether for routine applications or demanding experiments, it guarantees optimal temperature control while reducing the risk of errors or overheating. With two versions available, it adapts to the specific needs of each laboratory, while offering a smooth and secure user experience.
