VIAFLO 384: Enhanced Pipetting Performance for Demanding Laboratories
The VIAFLO 384 is an electronic multichannel pipetting solution designed to meet the increasing demands of laboratories in terms of throughput, precision, and user comfort. An extended version of the VIAFLO 96, it supports 24-, 96-, and 384-channel heads, providing maximum flexibility for liquid handling applications in multiwell plates. Designed to be as easy to use as a manual pipette, the VIAFLO 384 stands out for its fast operation, intuitive user interface, and adaptability to various plate formats.
With its air displacement technology, the VIAFLO 384 enables the simultaneous transfer of entire sets of samples in a uniform and reproducible manner. It supports operations such as plate duplication, serial dilutions, supernatant transfers, or plate reformatting, with minimal human intervention. Thanks to its pre-programmed and customizable pipetting modes, it easily adapts to both routine tasks and more complex protocols, while minimizing the risk of errors.
One of the VIAFLO 384’s major assets lies in its servo motor-assisted guiding mechanism. This allows the user to move the pipetting head smoothly by simply pushing it in the desired direction, resulting in a fluid and ergonomic experience. Tip positioning becomes more accurate without excessive muscle effort, enhancing comfort and reducing fatigue during prolonged pipetting sessions.
The system is compatible with 24-, 96-, 384-, and 1536-well plates, and can operate under sterile conditions, including in microbiological safety cabinets. Head changes take less than one minute, facilitating quick transitions between volumes or plate formats. Each channel operates independently with its own piston, ensuring consistent precision with no cross-channel interference.
Another key feature is the use of GripTips. These tips, specifically designed for the VIAFLO 384, lock securely onto the pipetting heads, preventing accidental detachment. They ensure perfect sealing and effortless ejection with motorized assistance. Available in various sizes and configurations (sterile, filtered, etc.), they guarantee reliable results for any application.
The VIAFLO 384 fits easily on a benchtop or under a laminar flow hood thanks to its compact footprint. It accommodates up to three plate or reservoir positions, offering great flexibility in workflow organization. It is therefore particularly well-suited for molecular biology, cell culture, or high-throughput screening laboratories, where time, reproducibility, and precision are critical.
